Janet Jackson will be honored this Sunday at the 2015 BET Awards. She will be the first recipient of the Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award. Try saying that 5X lol. Apple Music Changed Its Lyrics Once Taylor Swift Got In The Mix

When Taylor Swift speaks everyone listens. Apple had previously stated that during the three-month free trial it wasn’t going to offer any compensation for the streams played during that time.  Queen Taylor was not having that she penned an open letter to Apple on her Tumblr page. Ms Swift stated

“I’m sure you are aware that Apple Music will be offering a free 3 month trial to anyone who signs up for the service. I’m not sure you know that Apple Music will not be paying writers, producers, or artists for those three months.”

As the letter goes on she states towards the end

“We don’t ask you for free iPhones. Please don’t ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation.”

Shortly after the open letter was released Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue tweeted the statement below.

Taylor Swift later responded to those tweets from Eddy saying “I am elated and relieved. Thank you for your words of support today. They listened to us.” Cue confirmed that he spoke to Taylor personally in a interview with Re/Code and delivered the news “she was thrilled to hear from us.” The moral of the story is when Queens Taylor talks everyone listens.
